About 1 mile east of the junction of US 322 and Business US 322, go south on road signed for Tussey Mountain Ski Area. This is Bear Meadows Road and goes 4.3 miles to a right turn signed for "Big Flat - 1." The sign fibs, as it is 2.4 miles to a right turn onto Gettis Ridge Road, which in 0.1 miles reaches the big flat summit of Big Flat.
