Boyers Knob (1,780+ ft)
From the crossroads in Gowen City, go north on PA 125 for 0.8 miles to a dirt road on the right. Take
this road east along the mountain crest over some ups and downs. Bear right at 1.5 miles and stay on the
main dirt road, which crests at 2.5 miles. From there it's a short walk or drive on a rougher dirt road to
the lookout tower, which has been converted into an antenna platform.
1/2 mile ESE of Boyers Knob (1,780+ ft)
Continue east on the main dirt road, descending and then climbing to a crest at the 2.9 mile point.
Bushwhack south from a large cleared area, climbing to the ridge crest. Beware of at least two deep,
probably man-made pits en route. From where I reached the ridge top, there was higher ground both east
and west. The rise to the east crested at a hunting stand, and the rise to the west crested after the ridge top
got quite rocky. The western rise appeared higher.
