Northumberland County Highpoint Trip Report
Boyers Knob and 1/2 mile east-southeast thereof
Date: March 7, 2004

Again, had no trouble following Mike Schwartz's directions. The dirt road that leads to the highpoints is
marked by a sign that reads "PA department of Conservation...." or something to that effect. This is at the
top of the crest on PA 125 east from Burnside or west from Gowen City. However, unless you are planning
on hiking to these highpoints, I would recommend taking a high-clearance 4WD vehicle. The road is
extremely rocky and rutty in most places. I tried to do this one with a '94 Chevy Cavalier back in November
2003 and got about 1/4 mile in before I had the good sense to turn around and try another day.
