Snyder County High Point Trip Report

2 points on Shade Mtn, 1 1/4 miles east of Romig Gap (2,180+ ft)

Romig Gap (unmarked) is 1.4 miles northeast of the county line on PA 235. Go east on Shade Mountain Road, pass trail at 1.0 miles and continue to 1.4 mile point and signed Diamond Trail on left. Trail goes to summit area. Highest ground is just south of trail. I could not distinguish the two closed contour areas shown on the topo, so I wandered the entire summit plateau.
