Follow Mike Schwartz's directions. If you're coming from the east on PA 157, be aware that Old State Road forks left off 157 while you're still in Clarion County. I kept driving and saw a good deal more of Venango County than I had wanted or planned.

I found the gate open and was able to drive about two-thirds of the way up. I stopped at where a large area had been leveled off, perhaps as the site for a future house. I could have driven all the way to the tower but I walked the rest of the way. There's no telling how the present site work will affect future accessibility.
