Chiquita Peak Trip Report

The summit of Chiquita Pk this morning (just E of Viejas Mtn) featured a boulder that was so smooth you'd have to lasoo it to get up. I climbed a nearby boulder and jumped up with outstretched arms - hoping that my body would meet its altitude.

Views of I-8 immediately to the south were nice. It was below freezing last night since there was frost everywhere and ice on the puddles.

You could Earlize this peak by walking an extra 2 miles each way on the approach road from Descanso. As is it ended up a 500 ft gainer.
