Newport County High Point Trip Report

Drive up the road that looks from the map like it goes to high point (Hambly Road?) and find many No Parking signs with a fenced, covered reservoir visible ahead. Go back and drive up next road north (Pocasset Road?) which has an unposted gravel parking area at turnaround. Walk into woods and find survey marker in boulder S of radio tower that Fred Lobdell mentioned in his notes, follow game trails through brush S to covered reservoir which is fenced and posted. Since this is obviously manmade I didn't try to climb it but settled for where I'd been, although later somebody told me there was a hole in the fence. Hard to tell where current natural highpoint is.
