Anderson County High Point Trip Report

From US 123, drive south on SC 8 a couple miles to the county line. Continue to the next intersection, which is a strange 5-way corner (but SC 8 has no stop). Turn right and make another immediate right (as shown on topo) onto a one lane country-type road. After 0.1 mi. or so you pass through a gate and after a similar distance you end up in the front yard of a two-story house with a pool and signs about dogs. The dogs were inside and no one was home when we rang the bell. We walked around a bit and guessed that the tree by the pool was on the highest ground. The house may sit even higher but is obviously not natural.
