Dillon County High Point Trip Report

Fred Lobdell's directions are good. However, I would like to clarify two points. First, after exiting I-95 at exit 193 (Dillon), go northwest on SC 9 for 3 and 1/3 miles to highway 57. Veer right here and drive about 10 miles. At Raemont Road veer left and go about a half mile to the state line and park.

Fred describes the hike well, but I got anxious and turned left on an unmarked cross road too soon. Continue to the second left not shown on the topo (at this one you can turn left but not right, unlike the first one). This will save you wasted time, energy, and frustration where the directions do not agree with the landscape.
