From the intersection of US 301 & 501 on the south side of the village of Latta,
go south on 501 (this is the left fork if you're heading south) about a half mile
to a second left fork. Take this second road for about 2 miles to a left turn,
about 100 feet south of the county line. Turn left (east) and go about 0.7 miles,
following the road as it curves around to the right (southeast). There will be an
abandoned shed or house on the left and just past this a driveway, not shown on the topo,
going off to the northeast and leading to two houses, also not shown on the topo.
The driveway is soft in places and not wide enough to park on one side of it and still
leave room for a car to get by, so it is best to park near the paved road and walk
back on the driveway. Walk up the driveway until it curves to the right (southeast),
then walk out into the adjacent field. There is a berm across the field that is
obviously man-made. Walk around in the field on both sides of the berm until
reasonably satisfied that you have covered the high area. The topo has 5-foot
contours and slopes are very subtle here; there is no place that is obviously
higher than the rest of the area. Enjoy.
