Campbell County High Point Trip Report

From the junction of SD 10/1804 in Pollock, I went east on 10 about a mile, then went south 10 miles on
295/296 Avenues to 112 Street. It would be faster and easier, with more pavement, to go south on 1804 all
the way to 119 Street. This distance would be from 17-20 miles. Go east three miles on 119 Street, which
is signed where 1804 jogs east. Go left (north) three miles on 301 Avenue, to another left (west) onto
116 Street, a farm lane. Contrary to the topo and Delorme, 116 Street continues as a track road all the way to
the highpoint ridge and beyond. I was able to drive 1/2 mile west, where there is room to park at the edge
of a generically posted field.
The track road itself runs between two fenced in pastures, and is unposted. Once at the ridge crest, the
obvious highpoint is to the right (north) across an unposted, fenced, pasture. A large blue silo on a knob
about 1/2 mile north of the highpoint is a very prominent landmark. 40 minutes round trip from the car.
