McCook County High Point Trip Report

From Buffalo Trading Post in Minnehaha County, go west on the paved road for 5 miles (intersections at every 1.0 mile) and turn right onto a gravel road.

Go 1.0 mile and turn right onto a dirt road with a stop sign coming out. Go about 0.5 mile to a gate (open and unposted when I visited) and park. Hike up the obvious highpoint on the right to the top. There is a nice view from the top. The dirt road may be followed straight for a loop back to the paved road; I had no problems with a rental car.
