Bradley County High Point Trip Report
Date: January 23, 2000
Author: Mike Beavers
The Bradley County high point is not far from where Interstate 75 passes over
White Oak Mountain. It is located on the Hamilton / Bradley County line.
It is owned by the state of Tennessee. It looks like there use to be a fire tower there.
The fire tower has been removed, but the house that the ranger lived in is still there.
No one lives in the house now; it appears to be abandoned.
The high point is
next to the house. The BM is about 10 feet away from the high point in the front yard
of the house. There is a work shed owned by the State of Tennessee Forestry Division
about 100 yard away from the house. There are also several radio / microwave towers
near the top of the ridge.
