Fayette County High Point Trip Report
Gordon Hill (677 ft)
Date: October 14, 2000
Author: Ken Oeser
From the intersection of Highways 18 and 57 between Grand Junction and La Grange, go west on
Highway 57 for 0.2 mile and look for a dirt road on the left. This road parallels the highway west about
100 yards, then goes 0.6 mile southwest to the top of Gordon Hill. This is a logging road, and conditions
may vary. We parked at the highway and hiked in, expecting to see someone because of the fresh tire tracks.
Dirt roads lead past the top, and much logging is going on in this area. There is a concrete block
at the top next to a witness post, about 20 feet uphill from another witness post with BM Gordon.
