Hardin County Highpoint Trip Report
three areas (840+ ft)
Date: September 5, 2004
Author: Mike Beavers
The southern area just south of Highway 69 is now a cow pasture. I parked my truck next to the road and
made a quick dash to the high point and left. The people who live in the houses on either side of the cow
pasture don't own it.
The two northern points have recently been logged. It appears that the southern most of these two is higher
of the two. To get to the high points turn off of Highway 69 onto Cherry Chapel Road (DeLorme calls it
something else). Follow it until you reach a four way intersection with a small white sign that reads
"White Oak Free Will Baptist Church".
The northernmost point is on a couple of hundred feet to the southeast of
this intersection. The southernmost one is about 100 yards south of this intersection.
The main problem with this county is that the road signs and DeLorme don't match at all.
