Take the Jearoldstown exit from Interstate 81 and drive north 0.1 mile to Jearoldstown Road. Turn right
and go just over a mile and turn left onto Bethany Road. Follow this road about a mile to another major
road is intersected, then turn right and left to cross this road. Follow this gravel road up a hollow and
uphill about a mile to a junction. Go up a driveway on old Firetower Road and ask permission to hike.
Follow the old road up the mountain about 1.5 miles until it ends near the ridge. Hike up to the ridge and
go right, uphill. A trail goes around the north side of the highpoint, around some cliffs. Follow this trail
about 300 feet to a trail up to the summit ridge, and turn right. The highpoint is marked by an old one-
story fire tower, now dilapidated.
