Lincoln County High Point Trip Report
Date: June 13, 1999

This was a county HP I'd been looking forward to since AR - a real hill for a change.
It did not disappoint. I parked at about 1,100' near a gate just north of some
farm buildings. From here it was a 400' climb nearly due east to the hill top.
The ground was mostly wooded with some small rock ledges. The hilltop was pretty flat,
but the sight level showed I should head NE towards the HP. he exact top is pretty
indistinct, but I built a mini cairn and left a register near a white plastic jug.
Then I continued NE downhill till I reached a faint lane.
An optional hike to the county HP of Jackson and Madison counties in Alabama would start
from here, but I decided to pass on this, and just headed back to the car.
