Montgomery County High Point Trip Report
three areas (800+ ft)
Date: May 17, 2001
Author: Darryl Montgomery
Thanks to Ken Oeser's trip reports I found the high points quite easily. Ken suggests that the first area high
point is in the cemetery behind the Marion United Methodist Church, and I concur. I might also add,
without any irreverence intended, that Theadore J. Reynolds owns the highest plot in that cemetery, and has
since 1944. His tombstone reads "GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN." Now he has left his mark in cyberspace.
Mr.Jones, who is mentioned as owning the home at the second area, was not home, but his dogs greeted me.
The trailer home on the third area is still vacant.
