Roane County High Point Trip Report

This is a drive up. To reach Mount Roosevelt from Interstate 40 take Highway 27 south to Highway 70S west. Take 70S until you see a sign that says Wildlife Viewing Area on the right. Turn at this sign and take the road to the top of the mountain. There is a fire tower on top with the bench mark underneath.

There are some great views to the East and North. The Smoky Mountains are visible to the East and the Cumberland mountains are visible to the north.
