Holston High Point - 2 areas (4280+ ft)

From Elizabethton, drive northeast on Highway 91 for about 7-8 miles to Carter, then another 1.5 miles or so to Panhandle Road on the left. (Look for signs to Low Gap Campground.) Turn left and follow this road 2.5 miles to a series of switchbacks that lead to the ridge. Go left on the ridge and drive another 3 miles to Low Gap Campground. About 0.5 mile past the campground is a gate on the right side of the road at a radio range station.

Follow the fence around to the right about 100 feet to where it ends, then hike uphill to the top. The top has been leveled off and seems to be an aircraft contact site. From the parking spot at the fence, hike or drive west and visit the second area, which seems to be lower than the first.
