Bailey County High Point Trip Report

A very easy highpoint. The closest town is the tiny community of Stegall on FM-298, which has no
services. From Stegall, drive west 4 miles to dirt County Road 11, which is one mile from the Texas-New
Mexico state line. Go north on CR-11 for two miles to CR-1194. Turn left and proceed west about a half-
mile to the crest of a small rise in the road. The road intersects a closed contour of 4,120 feet, which
meanders over about 120 acres. There was a plowed field to my north and a weedy field to my south.
Determining one point above all others was not possible.
A recent rain had rendered the access to CR-11 from FM-298 muddy, although the rest of the road was in
fair shape. Drainage isn't the best. If CR-11 is impassable, it is possible to access CR-1194 from other
section-line roads.
