Brazoria County Highpoint Trip Report

We scouted Bill Jacobs' route from the cemetery but decided the brush and wet weather wasn't worth the
hassle so we backtracked and drove up the dirt road/driveway Bill mentions in his report. I knocked at the
trailer home twice before a young woman answered it. She had her dad speak with me. He granted us
permission to walk to the highpoint, a 100-foot walk from their home. Their two dogs went with us.
The top is as Bill described it and we stepped on a number of berms and dirt piles to claim this one.
The landowner's name is Mark Hollowine and he was quite friendly and well aware that he owns the county highpoint.
Still, if you are shy asking for permission, it may be possible to get this one from the north since
it looked to be mostly open fields but we did not scout any approaches that way.
