Callahan County High Point Trip Report
Date: May 28, 2000

No one was home at the ranch house south of the HP area. From Farm Road 604 and the Taylor county
line we went east 0.2 miles to a county road, then north to a corner. We parked, crossed the fence and
hiked north 0.3 miles, then northeast. A route has been bulldozed (?) up onto the mountain. From where
that stopped we encountered a lot of oak brush, and two tight, sheep-wire fences. We did managed to find
"aisles" through most of the oak brush. The top seemed to be in a small bunch of low oak brush
surrounded by other 10' high "bushes" of brush. Along our way we also saw four deer stands, so be
forewarned.
