Kendall County Highpoint Trip Report
Date: March 7, 2005
Author: Bill Jacobs
In what is becoming a trend in Texas, Kendall has gone from an easy highpoint to
one of the more difficult with the construction of a tall fence. Note that
Kendall now has three areas. The new area is a contour line - about 100 feet
north of the gravel pit - that meanders ever so slightly back across the Kendall
County line.
From the intersection of Interstate 10 and US 87, proceed north on US 87 for 8.5 miles.
The areas are off to the right but are now enclosed by an eight foot fence.
Judging from the upscale quality of the fence and gate, I would guess
someone is building an estate home somewhere over the hill beyond line-of-sight.
There were no signs indicating ownership.
