Lamb County High Point Trip Report

Lamb county has two highpoint regions located about 1 mile from one another. Best access is along FM-298
from the town of Sudan; a number of section-line roads in pretty good shape crisscross the area.
From Sudan, proceed west 3 miles along FM-298 to where FM-298 bends south. Continue west along a
paved road for two miles (it loses its pavement after one mile) to another main section-line road. Turn left
(south) and drive a short distance to an obvious crest in the road. This is one of the two areas. The other
area is about one mile southeast, accessed via another road. This is plowed farming country. It seemed to
me that the northwest of the two areas was higher.
