Liberty County High Point Trip Report
Date: January 14, 2003
Author: Bill Jacobs
A revisit to Liberty confirmed previous suspicions that I failed to reached the highest knob. Since the last
visit, the open fields of the first portion of the hike have become the domain of deer-hunters. One of the
blinds is located just to the left of where the "Davis Hill" trail enters the forest. The path is now more
overgrown and may prove more difficult to follow over time.
The highpoint is best found with the aid of a GPS. Several times I thought I had located the top of Davis Hill,
using a topo, only to find I was little off after firing up the GPS. The reading at the summit was
(30° 18' 54" N, 94° 50' 35" W). These coordinates correspond with what I picked off of "Maptech".
