Medina County High Point Trip Report

This is a highpoint that I scouted but did not attempt.

From Tarpley in Bandera county, go south on FM-462 into Medina county. About 1 mile south of the county line sign turn right (west) onto a well-graded dirt road (County Road 211, I think). Drive in 8.7 miles, passing numerous dwellings. I drove in as far as a gated road on my right (north). The map shows this road to go to a windmill below the summit, but the cliffs looked imposing and I wondered if there was a better way. A series of roads and Jeep (?) trails seem to come up from the east. In any case, most of the land is fenced. The A and O Land and Cattle Company had signs everywhere, so they may be a good place to start for permission.
