Schleicher County Highpoint Trip Report

See Scott Surgent’s report. The sign I saw said Crockett CR 209 (Scott says 09). I drove this east and north 16 miles (Scott says about 15), then turned east and drove another 2 miles (Scott says 3, but it was definitely just 2). Followed Scotts directions, did a loop hike around in the eastern contour area, then walked the full length of the long western area. Heavy GPS use. Scott was very fast. It took me 2.9 hours for the 4.5 mile round trip. He used only an hour+. It was 2600+ feet in elevation.
