Sutton County Highpoint Trip Report

You want to take Exit 420 (Baker Road Exit) off of I-10 east of Sonora, TX then
drive Baker Road 6.4 miles north and turn right at a sign for Jacoby Ranch.
I drove another 1.7 miles and parked at a locked gate on the right (east) side of
the road where USGS map has spot elevation of 2287. If you go another 0.3 mile
you come to locked gates, entry to Jacoby Ranch, posted.
From my parking spot, I hiked east into the contour area with spot elevation of
2487 feet and did a loop hike around in the contour. Then I hiked northwest
into the contour area with spot elevation of 2483 and looped around in there as well.
Then it was southwest back to the camper.
Very heavy use of GPS. Several high fences to climb over.
I was probably trespassing.
Hike statistics: 3.25 hours, 7 miles, 300 feet of gain.
