Cache County High Point Trip Report

Naomi Peak (9,979 ft)

Date: August 19, 1999
Author: Andy Martin

We took the well traveled path described in "High in Utah". It was a warm day, no snow patches were nearby, no water was flowing over the Dolomite, so we ran through our water before returning to the jeep. Hard to believe Bob Martin saw so much snow here just a few months before. Nice view from top, no BM found, 3 other hikers seen near the summit.

"High in Utah" says hands are needed in spots in this trail, so of course we had to do these "no hands". They are pretty tame, should not stop many folks. For the true HP obsessed - the small 9,960'+ area shown on the quad just to the SW of the Peak is obviously lower when sighted from the summit.
