Eccentric Peak

Drove to the Uintahs through Roosevelt and Neola to hike the highest peak in Daggett and Uintah Counties. We camped out the night before and hiked up early the next morning. It was about 3-4 miles each way and took us about 3.5 hours. Of course, we were above the timber line for most of the hike and it was really windy and cold on top. We didn't realize it on the way up because the wind was at our backs, but when we turned around, we could feel the wind. When we got back below 11,000 and in the protection of the cliffs, it was warmer and OK.
