Iron County High Point Trip Report
Brian Head

A good dirt road leads to the summit. A parking area about 1 mile before the summit allows one the option
to hike a trail and cross-country to the top. This is what I did. The trail, despite it being called Brian Head
Trail, apparently does not go to the top, or I just grew impatient. In any case, making your own way to the
top is very easy. In retrospect, the dusty road and vehicle traffic weren't worth it. I'd suggest to future
visitors to swallow your pride and drive to the top.
Awesome views, including Cedar Breaks (equivalently, stop at Cedar Breaks NM and view Brian Head!).
There was about 20 people at the top when I came hiking up. I'm sure all were there because of it's status as
the Iron County HP :). Some thunderstorms to the east.
