Millard County High Point Trip Report
Mine Camp Peak
Date: September 2002
Author: Scott Casterlin
As Scott Surgent's report says, you can drive to very near this mountain. However, I hiked it using
directions from the book High in Utah and didn't find the Paradise Canyon section to be obvious, though the
trail to the area is excellent. Instead, I stayed on the increasingly-vague and steep trail beyond Paradise and
ended up crossing an ATV track contouring across the slope near the top of Bear Canyon. If this happens
to you, turn right on the track and continue uphill at ATV-track junctions to the good dirt road mentioned in
High in Utah, then follow the book's directions to the cattle guard. If you drive, you can use Surgent's
directions or come from Fillmore.
