Wasatch County High Point Trip Report

Unnamed west side of Murdock Mtn

Date: July 23, 1997
Author: David Olson

A good starting point for this is Bald Mtn Pass on UT hwy. 150. Hike south along the crest of the divide until the terrain gets steep, then head southwest, following your map carefully. Cross a large boulder-field going south. The HP is among or near the trees along the minor ridge dividing the boulder-field from the steep drop-off southwards to Joan Lake and Echo Lake. The HP is approximately 0.1 miles west of the eastern, uphill, end of that line of trees. Carefully do your map work and work out necessary compass angles and line-of-sights before going to this HP - then you can be sure that you have been to the HP.
