Weber County Highpoint Trip Report
Date: December 18, 2004
Author: Bill Schuler
Early morning found us driving south toward Willard Basin but we soon found ourselves backpacking into
the basin. The snow was consolidated (in the morning) and we got in to camp at about 9,300 feet in the early
afternoon.
Morning saw us starting slowly with sub-freezing temperatures. We warmed up fast as we headed southeast
for Willard Peak. We topped out on the Weber County high point at 10:00 to a winter wonderland view.
Our return trip was via Inspiration Point. Snowshoes were carried but not used until we started post-holing
on the backpack out.
A drive to the Farmington area ended a very successful 2 days.
