Big Flat Mountain

When I was there in March (1996, I think) the campground was closed (it doesn't open until April 1) and the entrance road was gated. So I hiked up the Appalachian Trail from the nearest parking area and took a side rail up to the campground, a round trip distance of about 2 miles.

John reports no bench mark, but I saw one inside the fence around the water tank at the summit. I was unable to get to it, but the ground outside looked actually slightly higher in a couple of places than that inside the fence.
