Bedford City Highpoint Trip Report

Ryan Bowles' directions were somewhat confusing because every road in Bedford seems to be 460, 122, or 43 (just kidding, but not by much).

From the 460 bypass coming from Lynchburg, take the first Rte 122 exit. There should be a WalMart on your right. Stay on 122 (East Main) to the top of the hill and turn left onto Otey at the light (municipal offices are on the right). Follow Otey to South Street and turn left. Helm runs off of South to the right. Alternately, you could just find the signs for VA 43 south and follow them. Whatever road you are on will eventually become South Street.

I parked at the end of the road and walked up to the fenced in area. Since I couldn't get in and the area had obviously been disturbed by construction, the real HP is anyone's guess. I walked the perimeter of the fence for the purposes of plausible deniability than back to the car.
