From I-95, exit 98 (a.k.a. Kings Dominion), go east on VA 30 for 5.3 miles to US 301 and 8.6 miles to the
Caroline County - King William County line. Calno Road (for the southeast point) is at 9.4 miles.
I thought the HP was in the vicinity of between mailboxes #2493 and #2633 on the east side of the road.
For the point off of VA 30, come back to VA 30 and turn left (west) for 3/10 mile. There should be an old
logging road with a wire to block access. As noted, watch for drainage ditches. The area is very thick with
small pines and the exact HP is uncertain. I offer two suggestions: walk on the logging road until you can
just see your car. There is a slight rise just to your right. Or walk about 50 yards on the logging road to
where it doglegs right. There is a small raised area to your left.
Of interest is that if you come at this one from I-95, you will pass the
birthplace of Secretariat (the horse). There is a historical marker.
