Kitsap County High Point Trip Report

I flew into Seatac, got a rental car and headed for Kitsap County. A few miles out of the town of Gorst on
Hwy 3, I found a road with a locked gate and a Bremerton Water District sign.
Walking this road, I passed a small lake and in about a mile, a lovely waterfall on the Union River.
Crossing to the other side, I picked up a road heading upriver (north), stayed left at a major junction in 0.2
mile, then followed this road all the way to the lookout area on Gold Mountain (1,761'). It took about 2.5
hours round-trip and was interspersed with rain showers about every 1/2 hour.
