From US 18/151, just east of the Iowa/Dane county line, take the exit for Blue Mounds State Park, into the village of Blue Mounds. The signs to the state park are confusing, but take Mounds Road (not Mounds View Road) uphill from the west edge of town, which leads to the state park. The park road is open until 11 PM. The loop road shown on the topo circles a flat, grassy area, with the exact high point hard to determine.
