Polk County Highpoint Trip Report

Polk County's High Point is located in Section 1 of Luck Township. From the intersection of County Roads E and W, I drove west on W for 12.2 miles and turned left onto 130th Street (paved). I then drove south for 0.5 mile and parked at the gated access road for driveway 2960, which was 0.16 mile straight line distance from the top. The road curves sharply north about half way up.

I walked on the access road and arrived at the summit in about 6 minutes. I thought that a rocky area near the lookout tower was highest. I returned on the road back to my car. Total time was about 15 minutes.

From here, I got back to C.R. W and continued west 2 miles to S.H. 35, which I took on my way home.
