From Hebron IL, at the junction of IL 173/47, go west on Bigelow Avenue, which becomes Hebron Road. At 5.3 miles, turn right (north) onto Alden Road. Reach the state line at 6.6 miles, and turn left to two low crests. High ground at or near the road for both points.

1 area in section 19-2N-17E (1150+ ft)

From the junction of WI 67/50, go north on 1.3 miles on WI 67 to a right (e.) onto Palmer Road. Go 0.4 miles east to an abandoned stone house, garage, and barn, #4691. Hike up the driveway (posted) past the barn into overgrown fields. As you head south, pass the hill next to a radio tower, and look for witness posts for the BM shown on the topo at spot elevation 1140. I found two witness posts and the actual reference marker #1, next to an old fence line. Continue south toward a much larger tower, and reach the high point on open ground about 200 yards north of the tower.
