west ridge of Medicine Bow Peak (11,900 ft)

I got a relatively late start going to the peak and hiking up the peak; from the wrong parking lot, too. Another party overtook me. I got to the top of Medicine Bow Peak after them. There was snow and big rocks on top. From the top I paced west and then sectioned the presumed HP of Carbon county. Then I continued southwest on a trail - sometime bare, sometimes crusty snow.

The sun set and it got dark while I was descending the far end of the mountain. I hitched a short ride from two Air Force men from WV and Cheyenne AFB who were returning from hunting.
