Weston County High Point Trip Report

The dirt road off highway 85 was in great shape, and the big power line crossing the road, as well as the
fence at state line, made good navigational aids. A new logging road heading south towards the HP may be
useful in hiking to it, but we did not try it. We parked just north of spot 6651 and navigated through the
trees to the HP.
A fence post on the state line here had a nickel and a dime stuck in the top, so I pounded in a quarter.
I believe this "traditional" location is the HP, but wandered about 200 feet further south to another state line
bump just for insurance purposes. Could not get a clear sight between bumps. On the hike back, it was easy
to see how someone not paying attention could get "turned around" in timbered country like this.
