Everyone and all gear arrived in Anchorage. They took the shuttle to Talkeetna for the two hour lecture with the Park Rangers and paid the $175 fee each. Dave (Pellegrini) called just as he was leaving with a vacationing highpointer, Alan Scherer to fly to Base Camp at 7200'. Alan will return to Talkeetna with a returning plane. Park Rangers stated they have received less snow then the team had believed, but it seems to be a year of climbers falling into crevasses or slots: 37 climbers have fallen so far this season. The team may or may not start hiking to Ski Hill at 7800' yet tonight. They will start between midnight and 1 a.m. when the snow is firmer.
