“Our last chance”

Rob called Monday at 4pm to report bad weather, snow and wind which has interfered with using the satellite phone. “It’s not overly cold, but about 20 inches of snow has fallen over the past 3 to 4 days.”

TZT has resolved to go up higher today, “Our drop-dead date to make 17,200 ft. It’s our last chance to make our summit bid based on the schedule.” Chris and Rob will go first in one rope team to move some of the heavier items. Beckie and the Daves will follow on a separate rope team.

“If we don’t make it today we’ll start back down.”
