All TZT members moved from 14,200 ft to 11,000 ft to spend the night before moving further down to 7,600 ft today. Rob reported a beautiful but cold descent along the ridge with the morning temperature at 10 below zero with a wind chill of 15 below.
“A lot of groups did go for the summit [Thursday], including one solo effort, but all turned around due to wind. There’s a big lenticular cloud over the peak and that’s never a good thing.”
“Chris gave away a lot of our gear which is good in that we don’t have to carry it down to the glacier.” After reaching the camp at 7,600 ft TZT expects to fly out tomorrow. “We’ll see you soon.”
